If we walk a little further up to 112-113 St James Street we get to the current erotic retailer of the area: Prowler. Up until 2005 it was the St James Convenience Store, offering a more regular sort of convenience shopping. There was an outlet of the London adult shop Clone Zone further up the road at 32 St James Street (right next door to the Bulldog – convenient!), but it closed four years after the arrival of Prowler. After all, how many sex shops does a gay village need?
