Other Listening Options:
SoundcloudOn we go, taking the next righthand turn into Camelford Street. Towards the lower end at numbers 30-31 we have a pub – The Camelford Arms. It ‘went gay’ in 2000, originally known as The White Horse, but rebranded a decade later as The Camelford Arms, and embraced the local bear community for a time.
Just a few houses down at 35 Camelford Street was Open Door. The one-time home of Father Marcus, who literally opened his door in 1988, to offer support and assistance for anyone affected by the AIDS crisis.
