  • Postcard of Eurotour and UK tour against Section 28 archive materials
    Postcard showing four text-based archival materials layered on top of each other. Top left shows a paragraph on white paper reading 'THREE BRITISH LESBIANS, musicians Ann and Debbie and a lesbian activist Miriam, of the Stop the Clause campaign are being held in a Stockholm prison. They are awaiting a date for trial on charges of: Violence against authority, Resisting arrest, Assaulting a police officer. There will be no trial until at least the 28th of November. HEAVY FINES ARE EXPECTED AND THE WOMEN NEED MONEY. They are being kept in solitary confinement and are being refused all visits except by a lawyer. Top right shows a list of names and dates on white paper under the heading 'STOP THE SECTION NATIONAL TOUR DRIVERS AND SPEAKERS'. Bottom right shows a poster on white paper with the logo of a black circle intersected by a black rectangle overlaid with white text reading 'NEVER GOING UNDERGROUND'. Text beneath reads 'STOP BRITISH SECTION 28 ! NORSKE LESBISKE OG HOMOFILE KREVER LOVEN FJERNET !' and further text in Swedish on details of a demonstration.     Postcard showing archive materials from The Keep related to the Eurotour and UK tour against Section 28, including a campaign against the incarceration of three British lesbian musicians and Stop the Clause activists in a Stockholm prison, and the Never Going Underground campaign. Materials were provided by Melita Dennett. This postcard was produced as part of the Brighton Resists exhibition which ran between March 22nd and April 20th 2017.
