Join Bianca Fogah (She/they), Project and Volunteer Coordinator, and Siqing Zhan (She/they), Digital Archive Assistant from the QHS team at BARCO Brighton Centre Takeover 2026 to celebrate Black History Month!

We will be at the venue from 11 am to help you create black history bunting and put a stamp on what black history means to you.

At 4:15 pm we will be hosting a talk about archiving and its power within the community. See us detail how we have created a digital archive and preserve the past, present and future. We will also be creating Zines and letting you see what it's like to make and collect history in real time.

The event is spread over two floors, expect to find two days of workshops and talks, as well as a brilliant showcase of local organisations and businesses, a cozy creative space, delicious food, music and theatre performances, and more! It promises to be a day considering the Black history of the whole city, and celebrating the future of Black excellence.
